Wax & Wane linen throw quilt rust/ivory

Handmade linen throw Wax & Wane quilt in rust 100% linen with ivory linen blend patchwork details & a plain sage linen blend back. The Wax & Wane design represent the birth & death cycle of the moon; Someone once taught me that when the moon is curved like the letter 'b' it's a new moon growing to a full moon (or waxing), and when it's a letter 'd' it's waning. I like this visual reminder of the perpetual cycle of the different curves of the moon as it goes through it's regular cycle of waxing & waning.
 
This quilt is perfect sized for a throw blanket for the sofa or outside, a wall hanging, a quilt for a toddlers bed or childs snuggle blanket. It is part of the Wax & Wane series and is available alongside reversible quilts and cushions.

Materials: linen & cotton. Rust 100% washed linen with Ivory Essex linen (55% linen/45% cotton blend) details and binding. Sage green Essex linen (55% linen/45% cotton blend) back. 100% cotton batting. Hand quilted in ivory cotton.
