Wax & Wane Quilted Jacket - Rust Linen
A handmade rust & black linen quilted jacket in my Wax & Wane patchwork design. Wax & Wane represent the birth & death cycle of the moon; Someone once taught me that when the moon is curved like the letter 'b' it's a new moon growing to a full moon (or waxing), and when it's a letter 'd' it's waning. I like this visual reminder of the perpetual cycle of the different curves of the moon as it goes through it's regular cycle between new & full moons.
In a boxy shape, this jacket can be worn fitted or loose and oversized as desired, and is unisex. This one is in a M size (approx. UK sizes 8-16) for woman, and would be a S size for a man. The lining is also rust linen and with no labels and bound seems this jacket could be worn reversed for an alternative look if desired.

Materials: Linen & cotton. Rust and Black 100% linen. 100% cotton batting inner. Machine quilted in black cotton.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Washable at 40 degrees or less. Recommend using a colour catcher in the first wash. Line dry. Fabric will crinkle slightly after the first wash & will soften with use & love. Gentle iron if required.
