Handmade rust linen quilted cushion with ivory patchwork in Wax & Wane design. This abstracted design represents the birth & death cycle of the moon; Someone once taught me that when the moon is curved like the letter 'b' it's a new moon growing to a full moon (or waxing), and when it's a letter 'd' it's waning. I like this visual reminder of the perpetual cycle of the different curves of the moon as it goes through it's regular cycle between new & full moons.
 
This cushion co-ordinates with the Wax & Wane reversible throw quilt in rust & ivory. It has a plain rust linen back with slip in opening & feather cushion pad.
