Handmade reversible linen throw Wax & Wane quilt with the abstract design repeated on both sides; one rust linen side with ivory essex linen patchwork details & one ivory linen side with rust linen patchwork details. Wax & Wane represent the birth & death cycle of the moon; Someone once taught me that when the moon is curved like the letter 'b' it's a new moon growing to a full moon (or waxing), and when it's a letter 'd' it's waning. I like this visual reminder of the perpetual cycle of the different curves of the moon as it goes through it's regular cycle between new & full moons.
This quilt is perfect sized for a throw blanket for the sofa or outside, a wall hanging, a quilt for a toddlers bed or childs snuggle blanket.

Materials: linen & cotton. Rust or Ivory 100% washed linen backgrounds with Rust linen or ivory Essex linen (55% linen/45% cotton blend) details. Black 100% washed binding. 100% cotton batting. Hand quilted in ivory cotton.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Washable at 40 degrees or less. Recommend using a colour catcher in the wash. Line dry. Fabric will crinkle slightly after the first wash & will soften with use & love. Gentle iron if required.
